I read pretty much any chance I get. I mostly read YA books but some adult ones as well. To me all books are precious gems and are meant to be treasured.

When Seraph Emma is maimed and tossed from Heaven by a rogue angel whose taken charge, she fears she'll never be allowed to return. Tasked with the impossible job of showing the self-loathing (and not even human!) Jason his worth, Emma is sure she's doomed to fail.

Meanwhile, having wormed his way into Heaven, the corrupt Everett has trapped God in Hell and has designs on unleashing evil everywhere. Fortunately, if there's one thing Emma can't do (in addition to minding her language) it's give up. Determined to save Jason and get back to Heaven even if it means going to Hell--- Emma's plan is simple yet impossible: trick the Devil to save God.

What she doesn't count on is the devotion and, well humanity she finds in Jason, the spirit, hidden compassion, and raw sex appeal within the Devil; and the vulnerability of her own heart. With the help of two unlikely allies she'll wage the battle for Heaven. But will Emma be sidetracked by a new sort of heaven along the way?

What's truly more dangerous? Falling from Heaven, or falling in love?

-- Goodreads Description

Crushed Seraphim is definitely an interesting and unique read. It has a great mixture of action and romance to pull you in and never let you go. Just when you think you have things figured out something happens and the world goes topsy turvy.

One minute Emma, a Christmas Angel, is on top doing her heavenly duties, and the next she is thrown to earth, mangled, with only one wing, and given an impossible task. What task you may ask? Well she is charged with showing Jason a half-breed (half-demon, half-human, all-vampire) that he was loved and has good in him. Hoping that this will enable him to believe he has a soul worth saving. Once her task is accomplished she will be able to return to Heaven. This task becomes even more impossible when Emma becomes earth and heaven's last hope. She must stop an evil angel from destroying everything she holds dear, all the while, preventing Hell on earth.

This book has a bit of everything. Angels, demons, vampires (half-breeds), and one awesome heroine.
It had me laughing out loud, biting my nails, and crying, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I absolutely loved Emma. She is an angel, but an angel with attitude. Though she may not seem like your typical run-of-the-mill angel, she has the purest of hearts. She always does what is right, even if that means she may spend eternity in Hell.

This was a very different, but enjoyable read, and I can't wait to see what's next for Emma.

Overall Rating = B+
