I read pretty much any chance I get. I mostly read YA books but some adult ones as well. To me all books are precious gems and are meant to be treasured.

Questions:

1. In Chapter 2 James calls Bella telling her he has her mother, and the only way he won't kill her is if Bella comes alone. What would you do in that situation? Come Alone, or tell Alice and Jasper?

- Well first of all I would ask more questions. I would ask questions about my mom and ask to talk to her, just to make sure she was really there. I am a very suspicious person and I watch a ton of crime shows so I would want to make sure that he did not record her voice and her not even be there. I mean how does she know that he didn't record her voice first and then killed her. She could already be dead and he just has her voice to lure me. I would want to know shes ok, and I would ask her questions he wouldn't know the answers to. Then after that if she was really there I would defiantly go. I mean its my mom for goodness sake, and I would go alone and not tell Alice or Jasper. The main reason I would not tell them is because they could decide to stop me, and once they did that I would not be able to get away from them no matter how hard I tried.

2. Was everyone else as shocked as I was when I first found out about the Alice / James situation? Do you think this adds to the story line or was it not needed? Why do you think they chose not to include these details in the movie?

- Yes, I was shocked as well. I think it adds to the story because it gives us the background of how Alice was made. We get to find out how each Cullen was made, and Alice doesn't remember her life before her transformation so its nice to find it out, even if we have to from another source. Plus it gives Alice the chance to find out about her past. Even if it is only a little bit. I am not sure why they didn't put this into the movie, they didn't put Carlisle’s in there either. They actually didn't put a lot of good things in the movie, which I have discovered from this re-read, and it is disappointing.

*If you want a little more about Alice's background you should check out The Twilight Companion.

3.  Edward had to do something extremely difficult in order to save Bella from becoming a vampire. Have you ever had a similar situation in your life where you had to push your will power to its limits?

-This is a tough question, and Im just warning you my answers are a bit personal and tough.

I have not been through anything like Edward where I had to do something in order to save someone, but there have been two difficult times in my life where I had to kind of save myself. It took everything in me to get through them. One was when I had a miscarriage. This was really hard to go through. It was early so it wasn't to bad but the emotional and physical pain where pretty unbearable. I did get through it with the help of my husband, and hope to be able to have children in a couple of years. The second was when my uncle died. I was there in the room when he passed away, and it took everything in me to say goodbye and be there when he took his final breath. It was hard to recover from both of these situations, but they have made me stronger. I am not happy that I had to go through the first, but I am happy that I was there to say goodbye in the second. Sorry so serious, but extreme difficult times are.

4.  Bella and Edward get into the "to change Bella or not to change Bella" argument in the hospital. If you were Bella, would you want to become a Vampire? Why or Why Not?

- This is tough to answer because I have never been in a situation where I could become a vampire or stay human. So I'm just going to say that I would if the person I loved was one, because like Bella I wouldn't want to lose him or grow old while he stayed young. That would just be creepy. However, unlike Bella I would take longer to come to that decision because its a big one.

5.  Twilight ends with everyone going to prom. Did you go to your prom? Was the experience similar to Bella's? Feel free to include pictures!!!!

- Yes I went to prom with my husband. We are high school sweethearts!!! No mine was not like Bella's. For one I was happy to go to prom, and went with other couples in a stretch limo. Two, I can dance and there were no vampires. It was a very beautiful, fun, amazing night. I think Bella complains to much who wouldn't want to go to prom with Edward. I would have gone with him :)

I don't have many pictures because most are in print, and the scanner on my printer doesn't work. Here are two, and yes I know my husband looks scared.

Extra: So its over, Final thoughts?

- I really enjoyed this re-read. It was great to talk about Twilight with other Twi-lovers, and see what people thought about it and the movie. I think we should do it again soon, either with continuing the series, or I would like to do another book. Maybe even one we all haven't read yet, and can read together. (this may be a bit harder to do). Just let me know when we are doing it, and I will sign up. I hope we wait just a little bit so I can get caught up on some other books, but would love to do it real soon.

  2. I really do think those tough moments in our lives make us greater people if we can rise above the pain and hurt. But I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I really enjoyed reading your answers every week. Hopefully we will continue.

  3. I agree with Amy, it's the tough times that can make us better people when we come out on the other side. I'm all for another re-read!

  4. I liked Alice's back story, even though brief. I will have to check out the companion. I liked the link between Alice, James, and now Bella.

Sorry for your loss. I can't imagine either one.

Yes, your husband does look a little scared :) Great pics though! There seems to be a few on the re-read that are now married to their prom dates! I almost did, thankfully I joined the Navy and saw the actual sea and went fishing there! Although I still try to get in touch with him whenever I get back to my hometown!

  5. I need to read the Twilight Companion! People have been mentioning the extras this gives and I think I've been missing out, lol. Also, as far as the Jasper issue you are so right...why didn't bella ask a few more questions? duh. Again...there were so many smarter options than the one she chose.

P.S. there are so many of us who married our high school sweethearts! I'm convinced theres a correlation between YA love and a high school husband ;)

  6. I haven't read the Twilight Companion either!

And just like thelibrarianreads, I think it is really neat how many of us have married our prom dates! LOL

  8. I'm loving all these prom pictures, I never did the whole prom thing so I'm getting to live vicariously through them:) And I heard we get more of Alice's background in the companion, I'll have to pick that up:)

  10. Beautiful prom pics! You look especially gorgeous. I loved Alice's backstory. I'm glad we learn more in the companion although I'm still mad that it didn't tell about what Alice's first 30 years as a vampire were like. Oh well...gives more opportunity for people like me who write fanfic.
