I read pretty much any chance I get. I mostly read YA books but some adult ones as well. To me all books are precious gems and are meant to be treasured.

Waiting On Wednesday (17):

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Its about what books you just can't wait to get your hands on.

Eternal Starling
by Angela Corbett
Release Date: Dec. 6, 2011

Evie Starling has lived a relatively uneventful life hanging out with friends, gossiping about boys, and driving her 1966 Mustang. All of that changes when she moves to Gunnison, Colorado, to start college and meets two mysterious men.

For centuries, Alex Night and Emil Stone have yearned for Evie—but they each have their own reasons for wanting to be with her. When both men claim to be her soul mate and tell her about an unbelievable past, Evie learns that she’s not the person she thought she was. Soon, Evie finds herself in the middle of an age-old battle between the Amaranthine Society—the soul protectors, and the Daevos Resistance—the soul destroyers. With a past she doesn’t understand, and a future rife with danger, Evie has to decide who she can trust. But Alex and Emil aren’t the only ones who want Evie, and her soul is about to become the rope in an eternal tug-of-war. (Goodreads Description)

My Thoughts:
Doesn't this just sound good ! Epic battles, love tri-angles! Sign me up! If this sounds good to you too, you don't have long to wait.  Also, I love the cover. It is simple yet beautiful. I can't wait to read this book!

Obsidian
Series: Lux #1
by Jennifer Armentrout
Release Date: Dec. 6, 2011

Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is..  (Goodreads Description)

My Thoughts:
Yay! A hottie alien living next door!! He has abilities and dreamy green eyes, and drives you crazy in more ways then one. I defiantly wouldn't mind hiding out with a cutie like that. This book sounds intriguing and can't wait to see what happens between these two.

  1. I adore all things Jennifer Armentrout, so I cannot wait for Obsidian! Half Blood was a favorite read this year and I'm looking forward to seeing what else she's come up with:) Awesome picks Laura!

  2. I can't wait for Obsidian either, it sounds really amazing! I've heard of Eternal Starling as well, I almost added it to my TBR list when I saw the pretty cover but the love triangle squashed my interest. I much prefer one-on-one romances.
